Reverse osmosis principle

Ro (reverse osmosis) reverse osmosis technology is a membrane separation and filtration technology which uses the pressure difference as the driving force. It originated from the research of aerospace technology in the 1960s in the United States, and then gradually transformed into civil use. At present, it has been widely used in scientific research, medicine, food, beverage, chemical industry, power, electronics, papermaking and other fields.

RO reverse osmosis membrane has a pore size as small as nanometers (1 nanometer = 10-9 meters). Under certain pressure, H2O molecules can pass through the RO membrane, and inorganic salts, heavy metal ions, organic substances, colloids, bacteria, viruses, etc. in the source water Impurities cannot pass through the RO membrane, so that pure water that is permeable and concentrated water that is permeable are strictly distinguished.

System composition

Generally includes pre-treatment system, reverse osmosis device, post-treatment system, cleaning system and electrical control system.

The pretreatment system generally includes raw water pump, dosing device, quartz sand filter, activated carbon filter, precision filter and so on. Its main function is to reduce the pollution index of raw water and other impurities such as residual chlorine, to meet the requirements of reverse osmosis. The equipment configuration of the pretreatment system should be determined according to the specific conditions of the raw water.

The reverse osmosis device mainly includes a multi-stage high-pressure pump, a reverse osmosis membrane element, a membrane shell (pressure vessel), and a bracket. Its main role is to remove impurities in the water and make the effluent meet the requirements for use.
